This section features previous Conference Proceedings which can be of use to professional congress organizers as well as to those students wishing to become involved in the meetings industry. All HAPCO Conferences are dedicated to Conference & Business Tourism.
The 1st Pan-Hellenic Conference was organized on January 14th & 15th 2005, at Megaron, Athens Concert Hall under the title: “Conference Tourism: a dynamic component for the development of Greek Tourism in the post-Olympic period”. Unfortunately the proceedings are not available online. However, a copy of this edition can be forwarded upon request.
The 2nd Pan- Hellenic Conference took place on the 17th & 18th March 2006 at Megaron, Athens International Conference Centre and was entitled “Conference Tourism Today: Challenges – Prospects”.
The 3rd Pan-Hellenic HAPCO Conference took place on the 15th & 16th March 2007 at Megaron, Athens International Conference Centre and was entitled “Human Resources, Technology & Marketing: Factors of Success for Business Travel & Tourism”.
The 4th Pan-Hellenic HAPCO Conference took place on the 28 & 29 February 2008 at Megaron, Athens International Conference Centre and was entitled “Environment, Synergies & Crisis Management in Business Travel and Congress Tourism”.
The 5th Pan-Hellenic HAPCO Conference took place on the 6th & 7th March 2009 at the Grand Hotel Palace in Thessaloniki and was entitled “Strategies of Regional Development of Conference Tourism in Times of Depression”. The proceedings of the 5th conference will be soon available online. Due to the valued assistance of our sponsors P.C. The 6th Pan-Hellenic HAPCO Conference took place on the 4th & 5th March 2010 at "Hellenic Cosmos" Convention & Culural Centre and was entitled “Managing Change in the Meetings Industry”. It should be noted that all HAPCO Conferences have been organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism – Greek National Tourist Organization as well as the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, while prominent personalities of the tourism industry as well as politicians, both from Greece and abroad, were among the speakers.
